Prenatal/Postpartum Yoga

Thursdays with Melissa

Postpartum students are welcome to join Melissa's Thursday Prenatal/Postpartum yoga class that is appropriate for all trimesters and stages of postpartum.

Melissa's class is a safe place to reconnect to your body after birth. We will practice expanding the breath while moving through yoga postures to gently stretch and re-strengthen during your postpartum recovery.

Toddler Yoga

Sundays with Melissa (Monthly)

Toddler Yoga is best for toddlers who can confidently walk and stand on their own up to the age of 3 years old and their caregiver.

Throughout this 45 minute class your toddler will find moments of peace and stillness woven in between songs, stories, and games that highlight various yoga poses. Each class will have a different theme, keeping your child engaged and excited to learn more.

Parents will be expected to assist their toddler throughout class and can participate physically as much as they would like.

This is just an introduction to yoga for you're little one. Wiggles and giggles will be fully expected and welcomed.

Only one yoga pass is required per child and their caregiver.

Baby & Me Yoga

Tuesdays with Melissa

Baby & Me Yoga classes are suitable for babies aged 6 weeks through early crawlers, with their parent or caregiver. This class a perfect way to ease back into movement and fitness as you work to rebuild your core and pelvic floor muscles safely, and to help you feel stronger – both in your body and in your new role.

This class will also give you an opportunity meet other parents in your community while also connecting with your baby through movement and breathwork.

We recommend bringing a blanket for baby and anything else you might need to care for baby during class time.

You can register for your first class before you buy a pass. Our Yoga Class Passes can be used at any of our yoga classes (you can use any remaining prenatal yoga classes for Baby & Me and postpartum yoga).

You can buy yoga passes at the studio or online. Passes can be purchased with cash, check, credit/debit card or BBC gift card.

Registration for our postpartum yoga classes is strongly encouraged so we can notify you if class is unexpectedly canceled. (Rare, but we're birth doulas!) If you sign up and can no longer make it, please email us at yoga@bbcroc.com as soon as possible. Passes are deducted from your account if you register for class and don't attend without notifying us by email that you need to cancel.

IMPORTANT
Parents recovering from pregnancy and childbirth are encouraged to be cleared for exercise by their healthcare provider (generally at the 6-week postpartum check-up) but we will welcome and accomodate people at every stage postpartum and offer props and modifications and props as needed.
