CURRENTLY ON HOLD

Our Rochester postpartum yoga classes are designed for your healing body. This postpartum class is a safe place to reconnect to the body. We will practice expanding the breath while moving through yoga postures and gently strengthening the body.

These classes will be appropriate for anyone throughout their postpartum journey. We will connect before class and move according to the needs and desires of the group.

Please note: This is not a “Baby and Me” class, but non-mobile babies are welcome to accompany you to class if desired/needed. We recommend bringing a blanket for your baby and anything else you might need to care for baby during class time.

Strength & Stretch

CURRENTLY ON HOLD

Strength & Stretch is designed to meet expecting and postpartum parents at any point of their pregnancy or beyond. Exercises are expertly chosen to promote strength while maintaining flexibility. Participants will perform a variety of total body functional training exercises and cool down with mobility-enhancing poses. Numerous progressions and modifications are offered to accommodate varying abilities.

Please note: Non-mobile babies are welcome to accompany you to class if desired/needed. We recommend bringing a blanket for your baby and anything else you might need to care for baby during class time.

Baby & Me Yoga

Baby & Me Yoga classes are suitable for babies aged 6 weeks through early crawlers, with their parent or caregiver. This class a perfect way to ease back into movement and fitness as you work to rebuild your core and pelvic floor muscles safely, and to help you feel stronger – both in your body and in your new role.

Most importantly, this class will give you an opportunity meet other parents in your community while also connecting with your baby through movement, sounds and songs to help make yoga fun & interactive for you both.

We recommend bringing a blanket for baby and anything else you might need to care for baby during class time.

YOGA CLASS FEES

You can register for your first class before you buy a pass. Our Yoga Class Passes can be used at any of our yoga classes (you can use any remaining prenatal yoga classes for Baby & Me and postpartum yoga).

You can buy yoga passes at the studio or online. Passes can be purchased with cash, check, credit/debit card or BBC gift card.

Registration for our postpartum yoga classes is strongly encouraged as classes fill up quickly. If you sign up and can no longer make it, please email us at yoga@bbcroc.com as soon as possible so we can offer your spot to someone else.

IMPORTANT
Parents recovering from pregnancy and childbirth are encouraged to be cleared for exercise by their healthcare provider (generally at the 6-week postpartum check-up) before attending class for the first time.
