ROCHESTER COUPLES PRENATAL YOGA

Couples Prenatal Yoga

Join Nora Doebrich MPS, RYT at BBC for Couples Prenatal Yoga workshop. This workshop is offered monthly and is an opportunity for couples to connect and bond with each other and their baby during pregnancy.

Couples will learn different breathing techniques for help encourage relaxation and connection as part of your preparation for labor and birth. Parents will practice various poses and movements to stretch and strengthen the pregnant parents changing body. Partners will learn vital ways to support their pregnant partner through this journey.

Prenatal yoga is a great way to support your body during pregnancy as you prepare for birth. Nora Doebrich

Nora Doebrich MPS, RYT

Nora began practicing yoga in 2002, while working towards her master's degree in Art Therapy. From that first class, Nora knew that yoga needed to be part of her life. In reflecting on how yoga has positively changed her life, Nora wanted to share the gift of yoga with others. This lead her to study with Yogafit and she completed her 200 hour certification in 2011 and has been teaching in our community for 15 years. Nora opened Flower City Yoga in 2014 and was dedicated to supporting women, children and families in improving overall health and finding connection.

When Covid emerged and changed the way the world operated, Nora pivoted in her career, closing Flower City Yoga and pursuing her second Master's Degree in School Counseling. Nora now works as a full-time School Counselor at a local middle school and incorporates yoga and mindfulness strategies with her students.

Nora is the mother of two beautiful humans.  Along her journey to becoming their mother, she experienced recurrent pregnancy loss, fertility struggles and postpartum anxiety. Nora's challenges have allowed her to connect to folks who have experienced similar challenges and connect on a deeper level. Nora is committed to creating a safe space for all women through the transition to motherhood.
