Signing Parents Support Group in ASL

This is a parenting support group for deaf/hard-of-hearing and signing expecting families and families caring for children ages 0-3.

We know that raising littles ones can be full of questions! We invite you to join this wonderful group of your fellow deaf/hard of hearing and signing parents. This group is facilitated in American Sign Language (ASL) by community members: Lauren Dearman (birth doula), Sarah Gordon (deaf mom), Katharyn Head (postpartum doula and lactation counselor), and Sarah Ozimek (birth doula). We welcome your questions, your concerns, your fears, and triumphs.

Come as you are! Come when you can, leave when you need to. Most people come with their baby, but it’s OK if you would prefer to come without your little one. Please bring a blanket for your baby, toys and/or books for any young children who come along with you. You are welcome to bring snacks or your lunch.

Please note: on Sundays please plan to park in the plaza parking lot across East Main St. or find street parking on North Winton Rd.

*Disclaimer: Medical advice is not given during support groups. If it’s an emergency or medical concern, please contact your child’s pediatrician or call 911.
