Yoga for Birth is a prenatal yoga class specifically intended to help you prepare for your birth.

This summer we're offering a special series of prenatal yoga classes specifically focused on birth preparation.

In these classes we will practice yoga postures, movements and breath work that you will be able to draw from to use during your labor and birth.

These classes are safe for all trimesters, no prior yoga experience is necessary. Modifications will offered as needed to help everyone feel safe and comfortable throughout class.

These classes are not sequential, you can attend one, some or all of these classes.

Any of our yoga passes can be used for these classes. Learn more about all of our regular prenatal yoga offerings here.

Baby Basics Instructors:

Alison Spath, IBCLC, RYT 200, Body Ready Method Pro, CD(DONA)

Alison is a birth doula, lactation consultant and prenatal yoga teacher. She has been teaching prenatal yoga since 2015 and is honored to guide expectant mothers and birthing people through a yoga practice that helps them prepare for their births; in body, mind and spirit.

Alison believes that yoga can be a powerful tool to help people be more comfortable during pregnancy and to get ready for their birth experience. Alison's personal prenatal yoga practice played a very important role in her physical, mental and emotional preparation for her VBA2C (Vaginal Birth After Two Cesareans).

At BBC, Alison teaches our Intro to Breastfeeding class for expecting parents, facilitates our weekly breastfeeding support group Breastfeeding Cafe, offers private in home (or at BBC) lactation consults and manages our yoga studio. Alison is currently accepting lactation clients and accepts birth doula clients on a limited basis.
