Alison cares deeply about the importance of personal and informed decision-making. She aims to provide her clients with evidence-based information in all things related to pregnancy, birth, feeding and early parenthood and loves to help families feel empowered to make informed decisions that feel right for them.
Alison’s own birth and breastfeeding experiences along with her work with hundreds of families over the years has taught her that there are often unpredictable bumps and turns on this journey. What’s most important to her is that you were informed of your options and feel supported, heard and respected throughout all the many decisions you will make during this time in your life.
Alison enjoys teaching prenatal yoga because her personal prenatal yoga practice played a very important role in her own physical, mental and emotional preparation for her VBA2C (Vaginal Birth After Two Cesareans). Alison is especially excited to work with clients who are eager to learn more about prenatally preparing physically and mentally birth.
Alison is a seeker of knowledge and enjoys continuous professional and personal development through reading, regularly attending birth and lactation workshops, classes and conferences, listening to podcasts and staying connected to other professionals in birth, lactation and related fields.
Alison loves to learn and talk about health and wellness and enjoys staying active through walking, strength training, hiking, biking, yoga and contra dancing. She loves being a wife to her husband Zak and mother to her three children; Ava, Maxine and Kaz. She has always enjoyed talking and learning with others about the delights and challenges of parenthood.
